Fuzhou Senior High School

Introduction

Fuzhou Senior High School is one of the earliest key high schools in Fujian Province. It is the successor of Fujian Fuzhou Worker and Peasant Speeded-up High School that was established in 1951. In 1985, this school was approved to be a trial high school with the recommending of talented students, who were exempt from entry examinations, to universities.

It is located in Fuzhou , the capital city of Fujian Province . It is honored as a "garden city" with its charming site on the Yantai Hill, facing the Ming River. In the past 55 years, it has grown from a small worker-peasant cadre training school to one of the first 17 key middle schools in our province and turned out 20,000 qualified high school graduates for the universities and the society. Now the school accommodates 1600 students divided into 32 classes in three grades.

The campus occupies an area of 29,448 square meters. The green space amounts to 10,800 square meters, and the floor coverage arrives to 28,555 square meters. All the buildings are carefully laid out with the special features of beauty. Modern teaching facilities, such as network classroom, multimedia classroom, electronic reading room and audio-video room, strongly enhance the teaching and learning efficiency. All the computers in the school are connected to the Internet. To improve the health conditions of the teachers and students, the school constructs new canteens, student dorms, gymnasium, courts for basketball and volleyball, teacher gym and a playground with a 200m rubberized track. All these are the symbol of a modern middle school in China.

Accommodation in Fuzhou is comfortable.

The teachers have their own kitchen with gas burner, toaster and kettle. There is a fridge and microwave in the living room, with a table and chairs.
